Privacy Policy

Who we are

LIQverify (“we”, “us”) provides Ethiopian bank and wallet receipt verification via the Android app (liq.liqverify.app) and related self-hosted web/API builds. We do not require a custom domain for this policy — the public version lives on GitHub Pages.

What we collect

• Account data — Telegram identity (or email/phone if used), display name, and workspace membership so you can sign in and manage quotas.
• Verification inputs — payment references, account suffixes, phone numbers you enter, and optional receipt images/PDFs/QR captures you upload so we can check them against the bank or wallet.
• Usage & logs — timestamps, provider, success/failure, and approximate device/browser info needed to operate, secure, and bill the service.
• Device permissions (mobile) — camera and photo library access only when you choose Scan / Upload. We do not access the camera in the background.

How we use data

We use this information to:

• Verify payments and show results in the app
• Enforce free/pro quotas and process subscription claims
• Prevent abuse, debug failures, and improve coverage
• Respond to support requests you send us

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your receipts for advertising.

Sharing

Verification requests are sent to the relevant bank/wallet endpoints (or an optional Ethiopia proxy) solely to complete the check you started. Infrastructure providers (hosting, database) process data under our instructions when a backend is operated. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention

Verification history is kept so you can review past checks and so we can operate quotas/support. You can ask us to delete your account and associated history by contacting support.

Security

We use HTTPS where a backend is configured, session cookies, and access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure; use strong account hygiene and avoid sharing API keys.

Children

LIQverify is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the service if you are under 13.
